3212 Old Pickett Road / Ishtar Café – On August 24 at 10:51 PM the male victim reported that during an altercation with another male subject that subject had broken two cell phones belonging to the victim. As the result of investigation by the Patrol Division, the suspect was identified, located and taken into custody. Hadam Sindi, 25, of 10528 Coral Berry Drive, Manassas, was transported to the Adult Detention Center where he was charged with felony destruction of property and his bond was set at $2000.

10600 Block of Howerton Avenue – On August 25 at 9:37 AM the resident reported that on August 24 she had received a telephone call from a subject pretending to be her grandson claiming he had been arrested in New York for DUI and manslaughter and needed money, then directing her to call a “public defender” which she did. The victim was then directed to send to send money via Western Union to one of three designated persons. The victim did so, and after calling police received another call from the “public defender” requesting additional money.

10500 Block of Assembly Drive – On August 25 at 1:27 PM the resident reported that unknown person(s) had spray painted graffiti on an electric box and a neighboring fence.

3971 Chain Bridge Road / Auld Shebeen Restaurant – On August 25 at 4:37 PM the business owner reported that a check which he had written and mailed on June 8 had been deposited by unknown person(s) in a bank account belonging to someone other than the designated payee. The Patrol Division is investigating the case.
