FAIRFAX CITY, VA — Another board director for the National Rifle Association has resigned, according to multiple reports. Julie Golob announced on her website she would not complete her three-year term as director, saying she can no longer commit to fulfilling the duties of a director.

Golob, a professional sport shooter and public advocate for gun rights, did not state a reason for her resignation; however, she is the fourth board director in the last two weeks to leave the NRA board, the Washington Post reported.

“This was not a decision I made lightly,” Golob wrote on her website. “I apologize to those members who have supported me that I will not be completing the full 3-year term. I also feel this is the best decision for me and my family.” She continued by saying she still plans to support the organization’s programming and sports.
