Police Searching for Robbery Suspect

Fairfax County police are searching for the man who robbed an individual on Sunday night on a Centreville street.

Police describe the suspect as white, 20 to 25 years old, about 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing about 150 pounds, with a fuzzy mustache and short buzz-cut hair, and wearing a gray sweatshirt and blue jeans.

The robbery occurred at about 8:50 p.m. Sunday in the 6700 block of Scott Terrace, according to a police report. The victim was exiting his vehicle and was approached by the suspect, who displayed a handgun and demanded money.

The suspect assaulted the victim, took property and cash and fled, police said. The victim incurred non-life-threatening injuries.
