He has operated the business in the city for more than 40 years, for a time with his son, the late Eddie Camper II. Both were involved in the community, not only with local service groups, but also contributing to community activities and organizations.

Camper’s Trophies and Awards has provided personal recognition awards memorializing honors and achievements throughout Fairfax. Often, Mr. Camper knows about an award before he’s even asked to provide the trophy or plaque: he is plugged into the community and knows the goings-on around town. Generations of people have relied on Camper’s Trophies and Awards to help them mark an achievement, from the simple and personal award for a “job well done” to the public recognition of leaders and others influential in the community.

The business community has been invited to the reception, which wraps up the city’s second annual Small Business Appreciation Week.

This is the inaugural year of the Small Business of the Year Award. The Economic Development Office will bestow the award annually on a local business that is not only succeeding in its industry, but is making a significant contribution to the Fairfax community.
