Drivers Will Soon Need To Find A New Way To Access I-66 From Monument Drive In Fair Oaks
Virginia Department of Transportation will be closing access to I-66 East from northbound Monument Drive in Fair Oaks for six months.

FAIR OAKS, VA — Drivers coming from the Fairfax County Government Center or the Fairfax Corner area via Monument Drive will need to find another way to access eastbound I-66 beginning Monday.
Virginia Department of Transportation work crews will be closing the righthand turn onto the I-66 ramp from northbound Monument Drive for about six months. In the meantime, southbound drivers on Monument Drive will still be able to make a left-hand turn onto the I-66 ramp at the stoplight.
Travelers heading north on Monument Drive will be detoured to Fair Lakes Parkway, where they can make a U-turn and access the ramp from southbound Monument Drive.
