Students Hold Benefit Jam For Pakistan
Woodson students lend their support to an international need.
While high schoolers juggle tests, sports and other activities, students from W. T. Woodson High School took time from their busy schedules to support flood victims a world away. They held a concert at Jammin' Java in Vienna on Wednesday to support Pakistani flood victims.
Woodson students Sam Chism and Sarah Higgins organized Jam4Pakistan. Fairfax-based Escape the Armada headlined the benefit concert, joined by local acts Ordinary Plus and Serious Business.
Over one million people have been displaced from flooding in Pakistan. Proceeds received from the Jam4Pakistan event will be donated to OXFAM America.
