Fairfax Police have released photos of a vehicle believed to be involved in a hit-and run Saturday that left a 10-year-old girl injured.

FAIRFAX, VA — Authorities released photos Monday of a vehicle believed to be involved in a hit-and run Saturday afternoon that left a 10-year-old girl hospitalized after being knocked to the ground in the area of Armstrong Street and Linden Street, according to Fairfax City Police. The victim, a pedestrian, suffered a broken arm, as well as bruises and a cut to one of her hands.

The driver is described as being around 50 and dark skinned. He was driving a blue vehicle, possibly a Chrysler Pacifica. The vehicle is believed to have damage to the passenger side mirror where the girl was struck.
Shortly before 4 p.m., police responded to the scene. The driver actually stopped initially but then fled when asked for identification. The girl was taken to an area hospital for treatment of her injuries.
