Driver Killed, 2 Passengers Injured In Springfield Crash: Police
A driver died and two passengers were injured in a single-vehicle crash on Old Keene Mill Road in Springfield, police said.

SPRINGFIELD, VA — One person was killed and two others were injured Tuesday afternoon in a single-vehicle crash in Springfield, according to Fairfax County police.
Officers were on the scene of the fatal crash on Old Keene Mill Road near Tiverton Drive just before 4 p.m., according to a post on the Fairfax County Police Department's X account.
Police said an adult driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Two adult passengers were taken to a hospital with injuries, including one passenger who suffered life-threatening injuries.

Eastbound Old Keene Mill Road at Hunter Village Drive was shut down as crash reconstruction detectives investigated, police said.
The Virginia Department of Transportation said all lanes in both directions were closed on Old Keene Mill Road at Hunter Village Drive in the West Springfield area due to the crash reconstruction. VDOT urged drivers to avoid the area.
