Bank Robber Tackled By Employee In Huntington, Now Faces Charges
An employee tackled a suspect attempting a bank robbery in Huntington. The suspect got away but was later arrested.

HUNTINGTON, VA — A man is facing charges after a bank robbery involving an employee tackling him last week in Huntington, according to Fairfax County Police.
Police had responded to the Truist Bank at 5922 Richmond Highway around 1:05 p.m. on Thursday, May 25. Surveillance footage showed a suspect enter the bank, show a gun and seek money. A bank employee tackled the suspect, leading the suspect to drop the gun and flee. There were no injuries to victims in the bank.
Detectives later identified Norman Williams, 42, of Fort Washington, Maryland as the suspect. Police located and arrested Williams Tuesday at Cityside Huntington Metro Apartments. He was charged with robbery, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and abduction. He was held without bond.
