Pedestrian Struck By 2 Vehicles, Dies On Richmond Highway: Police
The crash comes after a pedestrian was killed on another stretch of Richmond Highway last week.
A pedestrian was killed after two vehicles hit him on Richmond Highway in the area around Fort Belvoir Thursday, according to Fairfax County Police.
The pedestrian was struck around 9:45 p.m. while crossing Richmond Highway near the Pohick Road intersection. A 2019 Dodge Ram heading north on Richmond Highway struck the pedestrian, who was not in a crosswalk. Police believe the man was then struck by a 2001 Pontiac Grand Am.
The pedestrian died on the scene. He was identified as 52-year-old Daniel Yeboah.

Both drivers remained on the scene to cooperate with police. Preliminary investigation found speed and alcohol were not likely factors in the crash.
This was the second pedestrian fatality on Richmond Highway in a week and the county's second of 2020. The other crash happened on Richmond Highway near South Kings Highway. The pedestrian died of her injuries after being struck by a southbound vehicle.
