Free Summer Meal Locations Announced For Fairfax County Schools
Free meals will be provided at sites around Fairfax County for students who qualify for free and reduced price lunches.
FAIRFAX, VA—Fairfax County Public Schools has announced locations and times for free summer meals.
Students who qualify for free and reduced-price meals under federal guidelines can receive meals through the program. Lunch, breakfast or both will be available. Meals will be on a first come, first serve basis. The service will not run on July 4 and 5.
Families who earn less than 130 percent of the poverty level have eligibility for free meals, and those who earn 130 to 185 percent of the poverty level qualify for reduced-price meals. According to the district, around 28 percent of students qualify for either free or reduced-price.

Only paper applications for free and reduced-price meals are being accepted in June. Paper applications are available at school offices, from the food services manager at the school, or at the Food Service Central Office, 6840 Industrial Road Springfield VA.
