MOUNT VERNON, VA — George Washington is best known as the first president, but to Washington Nationals fans, he's also part of the Racing Presidents tradition. He was the first to ever win the Presidents Race, which takes place during the fourth inning of Nationals home games. Now Washington's estate is rallying behind the Nationals during their World Series run.

From Oct. 22 through 30, George Washington's Mount Vernon will offer 31 percent off admission. That's in honor of the Nationals' #31 Max Scherzer, the three-time Cy Young Award-winning pitcher expected to start Game 1 of the World Series on Oct. 22. Guests are encouraged to sport Nationals gear when visiting, but the offer is available to all—even Astros fans.

When the Nationals return home for Game 3 on Oct. 25, scavengers can search for 15 George Washington bobbleheads near Nationals Park. Find one to earn free admission to Mount Vernon. In addition, Mount Vernon will give one guest a special prize every time George Washington wins the Presidents Race during the World Series.
