Man Starts Fire Near Gas Pump In Hybla Valley: Police
The suspect had been making an explosive device at the gas pump, according to police at the Mount Vernon station.

HYBLA VALLEY, VA—A homeless man is facing charges after an officer caught him making an explosive device and lighting a fire at a gas station in Hybla Valley Friday afternoon.
According to police, the suspect had set a small fire in the grass near the gas pump around 12:13 p.m. He appeared to be making an explosive device with a bottle and paper inside that had been burned.
Police did not indicate the specific gas station but said it happened near the Mount Vernon District Station (2511 Parkers Lane).

Other incidents reported over the weekend include an overnight burglary at a cell phone store and stolen car from Belle Haven.
Burglary: 7702-F Richmond Highway (AT&T) 2/10/18 12:56 a.m. A man broke into the business and stole merchandise. The suspect was wearing a light colored hooded sweatshirt, a black mask, black sweatpants, light colored tennis shoes, and a black backpack.
