Mount Vernon RECenter Pool To Close For Maintenance

If rain is in the forecast and you want to get in a swim, be aware of upcoming closings at RECenters. Four RECenter pools will be closed for cleaning and maintenance in August, including at the Mount Vernon RECenter.

The pool will close Friday, August 24 and reopen Tuesday, Sept. 4. Residents are encouraged to use the closest pool until it reopens. For Mount Vernon area residents, that is the Lee District RECenter, 6601 Telegraph Rd, Alexandria.

RECenter passes are valid at all nine Fairfax County Park Authority RECenters. Mount Vernon RECenter will remain open during pool maintenance.

The maintenance work dates are subject to change. Check with the local RECenter before going to the facility.
