More than 300 Fort Hunt High School alumni gathered together July 29 to reacquaint with each other and reminisce about the old high school, which closed in 1985.
The Fort Hunt High School Alumni Association sponsored the All Class Reunion Picnic, which celebrated milestone reunion years for the classes of ’67, ’72, ’77 and ’82. Alumni and their families feasted on grilled food, side dishes and desserts, all donated by generous alumni of the school.

The former students were happy to see several teachers and coaches join in on the fun, as well. The alumni association is preparing for an even bigger reunion and celebration of the school’s 50th birthday party in July 2013.
