The Del Ray Artisans (DRA) and The Little Theatre of Alexandria (LTA) team up through LTA’s Partners in Art program Friday, June 13th, for a performance of Neil Simons Plaza Suite. Partners in Art is an opportunity for any organization or business to partner with LTA for a specific show as a fund-raising resource, a membership activity or a way for businesses to express appreciation to their clients or employees.
Plaza Suite provided the perfect pairing for The Del Ray Artisans, with their current art exhibit “Suites” - (Scandalous Uproarious Intriguing Titillating Entanglements & Seductions). Shocking, funny, arousing curiosity, exciting, compromising, temptations... This all-media show has high expectations to make us laugh, make us blush... or both!

While SUITES makes a sensation at the gallery, the Little Theatre of Alexandria (LTA) will be offering up some intrigues of their own! This fundraiser was developed to generate additional income to enable DRA to further their mission to support new and emerging artists and artisans, develop and foster community based arts activities, events and organizations, to develop and promote the arts as a resource for community outreach and to make more available and accessible to the general public the full range of creative expression and artistic endeavors in the visual, performing and applied arts.
The public is invited to join DRA on Friday, June 13, at LTA (600 Wolfe St, Alexandria VA 22314) for their rendition of Neil Simon's Plaza Suite, where they will be hosting a fundraising "Theatre Reception" including a special pre-show party and champagne intermission. The reception begins at 6:30pm, and the curtain goes up at 8pm.

The “Suites” exhibit can be viewed June 6 - 29, 2014 during gallery hours at Del Ray Artisans gallery at the Nicholas A. Colasanto Center, 2704 Mount Vernon Avenue, Alexandria, Virginia 22301. Gallery hours are: Thursdays, noon to 6pm; Fridays, noon to 9pm; Saturdays, noon to 9pm; and Sundays, noon to 6pm. The gallery is free, open to the public and handicap accessible.
