Across the Peninsula, including Newport News and York County, heavy rains have already flooded streets, parking lots, and campus areas, with more unsettled weather expected through the week.
   

• HU begins Hampton WellNest program to provide pharmacy services, mental health and primary care to community (wtkr.com) — Hampton residents now have a new option for integrated health care through Hampton University's Hampton WellNest program, offering pharmacy, primary care, and mental health services on campus and via a mobile unit. Leaders say the initiative targets Hampton's status as a pharmacy desert while also training future clinicians, with services open to the broader community.
   

• Hampton braces as coastal flood warning goes into effect (wavy.com) — Coastal flooding is pushing water up to homes in Hampton's Salt Pond Beach and Old Fox Hill neighborhoods, with some residents surrounded by water even at low tide. Nearby school systems, including Gloucester and York counties, have canceled classes due to tidal flooding, while longtime Hampton residents prepare for several days of elevated water levels.
