Teen Pleads Guilty To Brutal MS-13 Slaying Of Girl In Park
An Alexandria woman was convicted of murder Monday in the MS-13 gang-related stabbing of a 15-year-old from Gaithersburg, Md. Venus Iraheta, 18, admitted to the brutal slaying of Damaris A. Reyes Rivas; Irheta is one of ten MS-13 gang members charged in the death and is believed to be the ringleader in the killing that took place in Lake Accotink Park in Springfield.

Supreme Court To Hear Charlottesville Warrantless Search Case
The U.S. Supreme Court will hear a case over whether Albemarle County police lawfully conducted a warrantless search of a motorcycle that was parked just feet away from a house in Charlottesville. The nation's highest court hopes to answer the question of whether police officers can go onto private property without an invitation or a warrant and search a vehicle.
Woodbridge Man Wins $100K On New Year's
Harold Bailey used to tell his fiancée, "One of these days, I'm going to win big!" He doesn't have to tell her that anymore because it happened. The Woodbridge man won $100,000 in Virginia's New Year's Millionaire Raffle, according to a news release from the Virginia Lottery.

Lincoln Memorial Undergoing Huge Repair Project
The National Park Service has kicked off an eight-month-long project to replace the roof and make repairs on the Lincoln Memorial. The memorial will remain open during the project, which will involve replacing the flat upper and lower roofs.
