Argument Over Dog Poop Leads To Arrest In Kingstowne

Police say one woman hit another and took her phone during the dispute.

KINGSTOWNE, VA—A dispute over dog poop got messy and prompted an arrest Tuesday, March 19 in Kingstowne.

Around 4:50 p.m., Fairfax County Police say a person was driving in the 6800 block of Oxpen Court when she noticed a woman with a dog defecating. The person stopped and asked if the woman was going to pick up the dog poop, but the woman dismissed this comment.

The person decided to park her car and confront the woman. During the dispute, both women began recording each other. Police say the woman with the dog knocked the other person's phone away from her and hit her on the back. The woman reportedly drove away with the victim's phone.

Officers were called to a home where the suspect was attempting to file a police report. The victim’s phone was found in the home.

Misty Freeman, 38, of Alexandria was charged with robbery.
