Armed Robbers Target Pizza Delivery Driver In Springfield

One of the suspects pretended to be the customer while another pointed a gun at the Springfield delivery driver.

SPRINGFIELD, VA—Two unknown robbers are being sought after they ambushed a delivery driver in Springfield Sunday.

The driver was making a delivery in the 7100 block of Larrlyn Drive around 12:15 a.m. when a man approached. He identified himself as the customer and began speaking with the delivery man. A second man approached with a weapon.

The two suspects fled with the driver's cash and food delivery. The driver was not injured.

Police are continuing to investigate. No suspect descriptions have been released.
