Armed Robbery: Woman Threatened While Exiting Her Car

The victim was exiting her car when the suspect approached her, police said.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA -- Fairfax County Police say a woman was robbed and threatened Friday night by a man with a box cutter after she got out of her car.

Police say the incident took place Friday at about 11:30 p.m. in the 6600 block of Birchleigh Way (see map below).

The victim was exiting her vehicle when a male approached her, police said. The suspect displayed a box cutter and grabbed her jacket, according to police.

The suspect then fled in a white vehicle, police said. The suspect was described as white, in his 30s, wearing a blue denim shirt, and approximately 6 feet tall, according to police.
