Attempted Robbery in Rose Hill: Police

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA -- Fairfax County Police report a man tried to rob keys from a female delivery driver Tuesday morning in the Rose Hill area.

Police say the incident took place in the 6000 block of Ridge View Drive (see map below) Tuesday at 9:18 a.m. The 22-year-old, female delivery driver was approached by a man on a bicycle as she exited her car, police said.

The man engaged her in conversation as he got closer and attempted to grab her keys, but the victim fought back, police said. The suspect fled without the keys.

The victim sustained minor injuries but did not require medical attention, police said.

The suspect was described as Hispanic, around 30 years old, about 5 feet, 6 inches tall, with a small patch of hair on his chin, police said. He was wearing a gray sweater and a gray hat.
