B-52s Cancel Concert at Celebrate Fairfax This Weekend
Band cancels performances due to an illness; organizers are working to find a new band to perform for the headliner concert Saturday night at Fairfax County's annual three-day festival.

Fans of the B-52s will be disappointed to hear the band has canceled their performance at Celebrate Fairfax Saturday due to the illness of principal band member Cindy Wilson.
Wilson’s illness is not life-threatening, but her doctor has ordered her to take immediate bed rest, according to a news release from Celebrate Fairfax organizers. All of the band’s immediate upcoming performances have been cancelled.

Festival producers are in the process of selecting and securing the services of a replacement headliner for the event. Organizers will make additional announcements as information becomes available.

The Celebrate Fairfax! Festival will include performances by national headliners the Summerland Tour (featuring Everclear, Live, Filter, and Sponge) and the Spin Doctors, plus more than 100 performances on eight festival stages.
Additionally the event features children’s and family programming, the not-to-be-missed Silent Disco, more than 200 exhibits, crafters and programs, the exciting DockDogs competition, the Emerging Artist Showcase and the Fairfax County Karaoke Championship.
