SPRINGFIELD, VAāA body found in Springfield is believed to be that of missing 19-year-old Raymond McGavin, his family says.
The family told Fox5DC tests need to confirm the body's identity, but they believe it is him. Fairfax County Police do not believe there was foul play.
Our son is at peace," wrote his mother Annemarie Gilmore McGavin in a Facebook post. "We are grateful to all who provided their help in locating Raymond. At this time, not all of our family members have been notified, so we would ask for some privacy. We take great comfort in knowing how much Raymond was loved and how so many in his and our lives provided assistance, love and care. Please keep us, particularly our other sons, in your prayers."
