Burglar Attempts Break-In At Kingstowne Home: Police

A resident was awakened by the suspect outside the home overnight, police say.

KINGSTOWNE, VA—Fairfax County Police say a resident woke up to the sound of a burglar outside his home Saturday, Dec. 22.

It was around 4:40 a.m. when the resident heard a noise outside the home in the 6100 block of Donival Square. The resident looked outside the window and saw a man standing next to his family's truck.

The suspect appeared to walk toward the home and attempt to break in through a locked screened window. Without success, the suspect eventually left.

The resident later discovered damage to the truck bed cover. Police have not caught the suspect.

The suspect was described as a white man between 5 foot 6 and 5 foot 8 and wearing a denim shirt.
