Cat Found - MAR 17, 2014

On Monday, MAR 17 at approximately 12:30pm, a petite calico brindle/tabby cat was found lying in the street against a snow bank in the vicinity of 5705/5703 Habersham Way.
The cat may have been hit by a car (unconfirmed), but seemed in shock and was visibly suffering from the cold. She did not make any attempt to run when confronted with three adults not known to her.
My husband and I collected her (with gentle prompting, she entered a pet carrier on her own) and took her to the VOLA LAWSON ANIMAL SHELTER, 4101 Eisenhower Avenue, Alexandria, ph 703-746-4774. We felt this was the best thing to do because we could not keep her and we could not leave her in the street and snow in the state she appeared to us.
She is warm, dry, and being cared for but if she has a family she needs you. We are doing what we can to find out if she has a family, because she truly seems like a gentle girl.
If this petite calico belongs to you, please call the Vola Lawson shelter ASAP at the number above.
Thank you.
