Guide To Christmas Lights Around Northern Virginia, Fredericksburg In 2021
From synchronized lights to handmade yard decorations, these displays are worth checking out this holiday season.

VIRGINIA — It's that time of year to head out with your family and drive by all of the dazzling holiday lights displays. Every year, we share a guide to holiday displays around Northern Virginia and the Fredericksburg area.
Below are the submissions we've received by town and other Patch editor suggestions. These residents go all out with handmade displays, dazzling lights and sometimes synchronized shows.

Alexandria
6027 Cliff Drive, Alexandria: This Nativity display is located in the Kingstowne area.

2507 Fairview Dr. Alexandria: Farmer's Christmas House typically features a large amount of holiday decorations. It is preparing to open again in 2021. See the Facebook page for updates on the upcoming opening.
East Luray Avenue, Alexandria: The Holiday Card lane is a neighborhood tradition since 2014. Neighbors collaborate to display oversized holiday cards in their front yards. Most of the displays are along East Luray Avenue, but it now extended to East Alexandria Avenue and beyond. Visitors are encouraged to park and walk to East Luray Avenue.
Editor's note: Collingwood Lights in the Fort Hunt area will not be open in 2021.
Arlington

Centreville
Editor's note: The Ritter Family Christmas display will not be open in 2021.
Dale City
5552 Reagon Court, Woodbridge: The Reagon Court Christmas Lights will return in 2021, but there will not be lights synchronized to music. Donations will be collected for ACT, a nonprofit serving Prince William County.
Falls Church
510 East Broad Street, Falls Church, VA: Artist John Lanouette's Polar Acres display features handcrafted holiday decorations. Visitors can walk through the yard to see the festive decorations, and donations are accepted.
Fairfax
Dillard Court, Fairfax: This display contains plentiful lights and a Merry Christmas message on the roof. Neighbors on both sides also have plenty of lights.

Fredericksburg
6013 Wickenden Street, Fredericksburg: The Bartley Christmas Display includes plenty of lights, Santa landing in a helicopter, flashing trees, a huge teddy bear and more. The display is on through New Year's from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. each night.

809 Harvest Glen Court Fredericksburg: Mona and Roy Robertson's display has 12 inflatables, 20 large handmade lollipops, a Wiseman, Frosty, dozens of lighted figurines, Nativity, and lights all over the house, trees and grass.

95 Hunton Drive, Fredericksburg: This display is part of a holiday light contest in this Fredericksburg neighborhood. The display has a mix of inflatables and lights, including American flag-shaped lights on the lawn.

Gainesville
7435 Pensacola Place, Gainesville: Brian and Nicole Andruzzi's display has been going on for nine years and adds new decorations every year. Some of the new items this year are handmade snowflakes and a 7-foot-tall snow blowing snowman. On weekends, they hand out candy canes and chat with visitors as they enjoy music and take pictures at the Santa and elf cutout.


8732 Lords View Loop, Gainesville: This display has a synchronized light show that runs nightly from 5:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. The show is about 50 minutes, and viewers are able to choose a playlist online. Listen to the show on the radio on 88.7 FM.
Herndon
1604 Jubilation Ct, Herndon, VA: This display has a giant singing Santa face and lights synchronized to 15 songs. Music can be heard on the radio with station 87.9. Songs are controlled by hitting buttons on the control station at the display. Visit the Lights at Jubilation Court Facebook page for more information.

Leesburg
Edwards Landing Lights, Leesburg, VA: This display synchronized to music will feature animations until Dec. 13 and start the syncronized lights show on Dec. 14. By request of the residents, anyone who wants to visit is asked to send a message on Facebook to receive the address. See the display Facebook page for more information.
Purcellville
417 Gatepost Ct, Purcellville: Purcellville Minions #PvilleMinions is a holiday display inspired by the Despicable Me series characters.

Vienna/Dunn Loring
10140 and 10131 Hillington Court, Vienna: These neighboring homes go all out with decorations and add new pieces every year. The display includes handmade gingerbread men and elves. In addition, the Hunter Mill Forest neighborhood will line the streets with luminaries to provide a landing strip for Santa.

404 Colin Lane NW, Vienna

301 Talahi Road SE, Vienna: This display features lighted Christmas figures such as Santa and a snowman made from recycled political yard signs.

117 Hickory Cir SW, Vienna: This synchronized display is best viewed behind the Vienna Shopping Center. Listen to 90.3 FM for music. Stay tuned on the display's Facebook page for updates.
2528 Drexel Street, Vienna: The Ni Family Lights features a lineup of songs and synchronized lights display. The 2021 display runs through Dec. 31, Sunday to Thursday from 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and Friday to Saturday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., regardless of weather. 2501 Gallows Road, Dunn Loring, VA: Vine Church will host a nightly outdoor Christmas lights show through Dec. 31. The 30-minute show features lights synchronized to music. The hours are 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. nightly. On Saturdays from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., a fire pit and s'mores will be available. See the event page for the music list.
