Coffee With A Cop Day Planned For Franconia District
Officers from the Franconia station will be at two locations for National Coffee with a Cop Day on Oct. 3.

Fairfax County Police and other law enforcement agencies will participate in National Coffee With a Cop Day on Wednesday, Oct. 3. Whether you have a question about a police incident or just want to know your local officers, it's a way to meet police in good circumstances.
The Franconia District Station will be participating in National Coffee with a Cop Day at two locations. Captain Gregory Fried, MPO Alice Eggers, MPO Jim Reid and other officers from the Franconia District Station will be on hand to talk.
The locations and times are the Dunkin Donuts, 7005 Manchester Lakes Boulevard, from 10 a.m.-noon and Peet’s Coffee, 6451 Old Beulah Street, from 6 p.m.-8 p.m.

National Coffee with a Cop Day is dedicated to encourage communication and positive interactions between law enforcement agencies and the public. It started in 2011 in Hawthorne, Calif. and expanded to all 50 states in 2016. The annual event is held the first Wednesday of October.
