County Needs Your Help Finding This Dog on the Loose in Kingstowne Area

With temperatures plunging into the 20s at night, Fairfax County Police have put out a notice Monday hoping residents might see a dog that is running loose in the area. Here’s their message:

Do you recognize this runaway hound? Our Animal Control officers have been on the hunt for him in the South Van Dorn/Franconia area for over a month. With the frigid forecast, we’re concerned that the short-haired, thin dog may be in trouble. Officers are setting up a feeding station to draw him, so please don’t try to catch or feed him. Call us if you see him; we’re relying on your help- and so is he. Thanks everyone.
