DC Driver Leads Police on Chase from Franconia into Maryland

Driver led police on chase from Franconia into Prince George's County, Md.

Fairfax County Police say a D.C. driver led them on a chase this week that started in the Franconia area.

Timothy Blair, 30, of Washington, D.C. was arrested in Prince George’s County after police say he disregarded an officer’s signal to stop. Instead, police say, he sped away, to Prince George’s County, Md. Police say the car he was driving was “involved in a larceny.”

After a brief pursuit and with the assistance of the police helicopter, the vehicle was stopped and the suspects taken into custody by Prince George’s County Police, FCPD said.

Blair was charged with reckless driving, speed to elude, driving on a suspended operator’s license, larceny and grand larceny, according to police.
