Job Title: Customer Service Representative (CSR)
Hours: Mon – Fri 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Other: This position is eligible for job sharing and part-time
Excellent communication skills are required to successfully complete the requirements of this position. Our CSR is the voice of Safeguard Shredding. CSR answers incoming calls from clients and prospects. CSR gives information to prospects in order to book service. CSR will record pertinent information and follow up with a written quote to all prospects. CSR will work with manager on certain opportunities.A list of responsibilities and duties includes but is not limited to the following:
- Answers and screens telephone calls.
- Closes routine service requests over the phone.
- For prospects, records all pertinent information. Follows up with quote.
- Works with Customer Service Manager on routing for shredding service.
- Follows up on internet requests as requested by President.
- Follow-up with prospects and clients as needed.
- Daily routine activities related to client orders.
- Monthly reporting (as assigned)
- Track container inventory (on-call containers)
- Handles warehouse drops (in the absence of Operations personnel)
- Sorts mail and matches checks to invoices.
- Filing (client files, invoices, etc.)
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills Needed:
- Microsoft Suite of office products (Outlook, Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Publisher)
- Multiline phone system
- Articulate
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to diplomatically handle customer service issues
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to multi-task (Critical)

- Beginning wage of $16 per hour plus bonuses (based upon sales campaigns)

- 10 days of vacation leave and 4 days of sick leave (pro-rated for part time status)
- Holidays (New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Day. (pro-rated for part time status)
