Dryer Catches Fire In Kingstowne Townhouse
A neighbor had discovered the fire since the resident was not home.

KINGSTOWNE, VA—Firefighters tackled a blaze in a dryer at a Kingstowne townhouse Sunday afternoon, according to Fairfax County Fire and Rescue.
Around 2 p.m., firefighters responded to the 7900 block of Old Carriage Trail. Units found smoke coming from the house, locating the fire in the dryer and putting it out.
There was limited extension of the fire, according to Battalion Chief Dave Hall. No injuries were reported.

The owner was not home at the time. A neighbor had smelled smoke and called 911. There was no immediate estimate of damages.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
