Edison Football Falls to Centreville, 35-0
Eagles tackling woes continue to haunt them, with help from Wildcats running back Manny Smith.

Tackling issues have plagued the Edison Eagles early in the season. Combine that with Centreville running back Manny Smith, and it's a recipe for disaster.
Smith pounded his way to five touchdowns, leading Centreville to a 35-0 win over Edison last Friday night.
"[Tackling] has been our Achilles heel," said Edison Head Coach Anthony Parker. He added that it's "back to the drawing board" for the Eagles.

Smith led a dominant ground attack for Centreville, which allowed the Wildcats to dominate the time of possession. Centreville's offense picked up 17 first downs compared with Edison's eight.
Underscoring Parker's point, the Eagles have surrendered 64 points in their two losses combined. He said the team would focus on defense in practice this week before its game against Mount Vernon on September 16th.
