Fairfax County Police Investigating Use of Taser During Stop in Rose Hill Area

The Fairfax County Chief of Police, Colonel Edwin C. Roessler Jr., has directed the department’s Internal Affairs Bureau to conduct an administrative inquiry into the facts and circumstances which led to the deployment of an electronic control weapon (ECW) in the Rose Hill area of the Franconia district on Thursday.

Police told WUSA-9 the suspect refused treatment and was arrested in connection to a theft. He has been charged with larceny, the TV station reported.

Police did not release any information about the incident, in relation to the inquiry.
