Fairfax Police Arrest Man for Assaulting Woman with Knife

ALEXANDRIA, VA -- Fairfax County police arrested a man that threatened a woman with a knife Tuesday at Great American Steak & Buffet at the 5900 block of Richmond Highway south of Alexandria City. Tyrone Taylor, 70, of Annandale, Va. is charged with assault and trespassing.

The suspect entered the restaurant around 5 p.m. and was asked to leave because of a previous, unrelated incident. He returned about 30 minutes later and was asked to leave again. The suspect took a knife from the kitchen and threatened a 38-year-old woman. He turned to other customers with the knife before walking out. The victim did not need medical attention, according to police.

Police located him near the restaurant and took him to the Adult Detention Center.
