Family Robbed at Gunpoint in Their Driveway

They had just pulled up to their house Friday night, a little after 8:30 p.m., when a man approached them with a gun, police said.

Fairfax County Police say a local family was robbed at gunpoint Friday night in their own driveway.

Police say the incident took place Friday night, at about 8:38 p.m. That’s when the family drove up and got out of their car at their home in the 7300 block of Calamo Street (see Google map below).

As they were getting out of their car, a man approached and displayed a handgun and demanded money, police said. The suspect took property, police said, and fled in a gray car. The victims didn’t require any medical help, according to police.

The suspect was described as a black man, tall and wearing a gray T-shirt and blue jeans. No age or weight descriptions were given by police.
