Family's Giveaways In Kingstowne Promote Acts Of Kindness
A family asks for acts of kindness toward others instead of payment for the free drink sleeves.
KINGSTOWNE, VA ā When Jessica Judkins and her kids Judah and Magnolia give away handmade drink sleeves at coffee shops, they won't take any payment. Instead, they ask recipients to tip a barista, pay for a person's order or buy someone a gift card.
Their "encourage it forward" event is coming to Kingstowne next. The family will give away 70 crotchet coffee sleeves at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 18 at the Kingstowne Towne Center Starbucks, located at 5860 Kingstowne Center.
The family will be at the end of the long table inside Starbucks with the drink sleeves until they're all handed out. The drink sleeves usually go quickly, so you'll want to get there early.
