One Killed, Another Injured In Springfield Accident Near 95
Update: Police say one elderly man was killed in a Springfield accident Tuesday morning.

(Updated) SPRINGFIELD, VA—Police are on the scene of a fatal crash in Springfield Tuesday morning near 95.
The accident happened in the 8400 block of Alban Road near Rolling Road around 8:15 a.m. Police say a car heading north on Alban Road crashed head on with a car going south. The driver of the first car, William Henry Corum, 82 of Lorton, was pronounced dead at the scene. The other driver was treated for minor injuries at the scene.
Investigations show speed could be a factor in the accident, but alcohol was likely not involved. The investigation continues.

As of noon, police said Alban Road has reopened in both directions. Authorities reported the accident to residents via social media around 8:30 a.m.
