Fatal Crash Reported On Interstate 95 In Fairfax County
Police say a driver died when his vehicle rear ended a parked tractor-trailer on I-95.
FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA — Virginia State Police say a fatal crash happened on Interstate 95 early Thursday.
The crash happened around 1:45 a.m. on southbound I-95 at the 165 mile marker, which is between the Fairfax County Parkway and Lorton Road exits. According to police, a tractor-trailer was parked on the southbound right shoulder and was rear-ended by a GMC Terrain.
The driver of the GMC, Nathaniel Thurman, 50, of Norfolk, died at the scene. The tractor-trailer driver was not injured.
