Florida Abduction Suspect Arrested In Springfield By State Police

SPRINGFIELD, VA — A Florida man who was being sought in an ongoing abduction investigation is being held without bond at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center after being arrested by Virginia State Police troopers early Monday morning.

Jaddier Sanchez, Fort Lauderdale, was charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of crack cocaine with the intent to distribute, possession of crack cocaine while in possession of a firearm and defacing of a serial number off a firearm and driving without a valid driver’s license, police said Monday.

Sanchez was arrested at 12:21 a.m. on Monday after state troopers were alerted to a stolen vehicle that was traveling north on I-95 near Springfield. The 2007 Dodge Ram pickup had been reported stolen out of Florida and was linked to the ongoing abduction investigation, police said.

Troopers stopped the vehicle as it was merging from I-95 onto I-495 and Sanchez was taken into custody without incident, police said. An 18-year-old female was found in the vehicle and taken to a local hospital for evaluation. A gun and drugs were also found the vehicle.

Police have not released the identity of the woman found in the vehicle.
