Forum On Police Chief Search Planned By Fairfax Supervisors
Supervisors Jeff McKay and Rodney Lusk will take input on the selection of the next Fairfax County police chief.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA — Two Fairfax County supervisors will host an upcoming meeting to gather input on the police chief selection process.
A nationwide search is underway to select the next police chief of the Fairfax County Police Department after former Police Chief Ed Roessler Jr. retired in February. A search firm has been selected to assist with the search. The interim police chief is Deputy County Executive David Rohrer, who oversaw the police department between 2004 and 2012.
The virtual public input session will be held by Board of Supervisors Chairman Jeff McKay and Lee District Supervisor Rodney Lusk on April 6 at 7 p.m. Residents can share what they'd like to see in the next police chief and what questions the board should ask candidates. The meeting will also feature County Executive Bryan Hill and Kenyatta Uzzell, CEO of recruiting firm Polihire.
