Holiday Market, Chanukah: Springfield Town Center Holiday Events

As holiday shopping gets underway, here are some holiday events you can enjoy while at Springfield's mall.

SPRINGFIELD, VA — As the holiday season continues, you may find yourself at Springfield Town Center doing some holiday shopping. While you're there, don't forget to check out holiday happenings throughout the month.

Springfield Town Center has a number of events planned, including Santa photos, a Chanukah celebration, and a holiday market. Below is a roundup of events as well as hours around Christmas.

Photos with Santa: Through Dec. 24

Visit the Grand Court to meet the jolly man in red and get photos with your family. Reservations are recommended but not required. Hours are 12 p.m.-8 p.m. weekdays (break 2 p.m.-4 p.m.), 10 am.-8 p.m. Saturdays (break 1 p.m.-2 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.-5:30 p.m.), and noon-6 p.m. Sundays (break 2:30 p.m.-3 p.m.).

Pet Photos with Santa: Mondays through Dec. 20

Bring your furry friend along for Santa photos with the family on Mondays through Dec. 20 at the Grand Court. Hours are 11 a.m.-8 p.m. (break 3 p.m.-4 p.m.). Pets should be leashed and brought in through the mall entrance on the lower level near Dick's Sporting Goods. Owners must sign a release.

Special Character Visits with Santa: Tuesdays through Dec. 14

On Tuesdays, special guests will join Santa during photo sessions from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Reservations are recommended but not required. The schedule is Spiderman and Wonder Woman on Nov. 30, Elsa and Anna on Dec. 7, and holiday princesses on Dec. 14.

Moe's Tavern Pop-Up: Select dates through Dec. 11

Granted, this Simpsons pop-up isn't holiday themed. But it's available for a limited time during the holiday season, offering food and drink packages with Simpsons photo ops. The pop-up will run Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays between Nov. 19 and Dec. 11. Friday hours are 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday hours are 12 p.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday hours are 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. The location is the mall lower level near Macy's.

Chanukah Celebration: Dec. 2, 5:30 p.m.-7 p.m.

Join the Chabad Lubavitch of Springfield-Burke for a Chanukah event in Grand Court on the lower level. The Menorah lighting will be followed by a magic show, crafts and light refreshments. The event is free and open to all.

HOT 99.5 Jingle Ball Ticket Raid: Dec. 8, 4 p.m.-6 p.m.

Find Emily and HOT 99.5 in Grand Court near Santa as they give away eight tickets to HOT 99.5 Jingle Ball on Dec. 14 at Capital One Arena. Jingle Ball performers will include the Jonas Brothers, Doja Cat, Megan Thee Stallion, Black Eyed Peas, Saweetie, AJR, Tate McCrae, Monsta X, Bazzi, Dixie D'Amelio, and Tai Verdes. Stop by the Springfield Town Center table to spin the prize wheel, and you could win a gift card to a retailer or restaurant.

Holiday Market: Dec. 11-12, 18-19

During mall hours, shop vendors offering a variety of products, including beauty, apparel, and health & wellness.

  • Dec. 19-23: 10 a.m.–9 p.m. Sunday and 10 a.m.-9:30 p.m. weekdays
  • Dec. 24: 9 a.m.-6 p.m.
  • Dec. 25: Closed
  • Dec. 26: 11 a.m.-4 p.m.
  • Dec. 27-30: 10 a.m.-9 p.m.
  • Dec. 31: 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
  • Jan. 1: 10 a.m.-9 p.m.
