Kingstowne Area Home Burglarized During Vacation

Vacationers returning to their Kingstowne area home had an unwelcome surprise when they found items stolen.

KINGSTOWNE, VA—It was vacationers' worst fear come true when residents returned to their Kingstowne area home.

Residents in the 6400 block of Telegraph Road returned home from vacation last week to find items missing from their home. Police say electronics and jewelry are missing from the home. The burglary could have happened anytime between July 25 and Aug. 18 from 5 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., authorities say. There are no suspects.

Another notable incident in the Fairfax County weekend crime recap was an armed robbery in Springfield Saturday. Around 1 a.m. the victim was walking to his home in the 7000 block of Rhoden Court when two people got out of a red car, and one unknown suspect pulled out a gun, demanding money. The other unknown suspect took money and other items from the victim's pocket, then both fled.

The first suspect was described as a black male, about 18 to 22 years old, about 5 foot 6 and weighing between 180 and 200 pounds. The second suspect was said to be a white male, 17 to 19 years old, also about 5 foot 6 and weighing between 180 and 200 pounds.
