Kingstowne Store Employees Charged In Alcohol Sales Sting
Four Kingstowne area grocery store employees were charged after selling alcohol to undercover cops without asking for ID.

KINGSTOWNE, VA—Fairfax County Police charged four Kingstowne area grocery store employees for selling alcohol without asking for identification.
Undercover cops attempted to buy alcohol from 12 stores around the Franconia District. The officers were directed to disclose their true age if asked. If the undercover cop was successful, another officer observing would charge the employee. Selling alcohol to a minor or not asking for proper identification is considered a Class 1 misdemeanor, according to Virginia code.
