Little League: Dodgers Beat A's in Central Springfield League

An update on the Central Springfield Little League AA team, the A's, by Arlene Connin.

A's led by five runs in the third inning, but the Dodgers put together a furious comeback to steal the victory, 11-9, on Friday at TS-1.

Lleyton McFarland led A's' offensive threat, as he got on base two times in the game. He scored two runs and had one RBI. He singled in the first inning.

The Dodgers were sparked by Gage and Seamus, who teamed up for two hits and four RBIs.

In the top of the first, the Dodgers grabbed the early lead, 1-0.

A's scored four runs of its own in the first. A's scored on a walk by Brian Borda, a walk by Jonathan Filz, a walk byDylan Brittingham, and a walk by Gavin Brustman.

After a quick strike from the Dodgers, A's responded with five runs in the second. A's scored on a bases loaded walk, a bases loaded walk by Hudson, a walk by Borda, a walk by Filz, and a walk by Nathan Gunnison.

The Dodgers stayed on top until the final out after taking the lead in the fourth, scoring seven runs on a two-run double by Gage and five bases loaded walks.
