Man Killed On Metro Tracks At Franconia-Springfield Not Yet Identified

SPRINGFIELD, VA — Police have not identified a man found dead on the Metro tracks at the Franconia-Springfield station on Dec. 17.

Metro Transit Police previously released an image of the man to seek information from the public. The man was last seen around 8:55 p.m. in the station on Dec. 17. Police say the man walked onto the tracks on that night.

Police renewed the call for information after an extensive investigation, including looking at missing person reports and law enforcement databases. Anyone with information can contact Metro Transit Police at 202-962-2121.
