Man Spits On Officer During Arrest In Springfield Hotel

A man has been arrested after causing a ruckus and spitting on an officer at the Wingate Hotel in Springfield Wednesday.

Around 4:43 p.m., police had responding to a report of disorderly conduct at the Wingate 6550 Loisdale Court. Officers arrived to find the man enraged and yelling at hotel staff. None of the hotel staff had been injured.

Police arrested Travis Haith, 36 of Lorton, and when police were searching him, he spit in the face of one of the officers. That got him an additional charge.

Haith was charged with assault on law enforcement, assault, disorderly conduct, and drunk in public.
