Mixed-Use Development Could Replace Topgolf In Kingstowne

The site owners are looking to replace Topgolf with a mix of residential and commercial development.

As Topgolf proposes a new location in National Harbor, it's looking like the the location in Kingstowne could become some other kind of development.

The property owner, 6625 South Van Dorn Street LLC, has proposed a residential development with a commercial space and a "town green" area, The Washington Business Journal reported. According to the proposal filed in Fairfax County, the commercial space would have restaurants with outdoor seating, retail and recreation.

Topgolf has not confirmed the Kingstowne location will close, but its application for a larger National Harbor location is under review in Prince George's County, Md.
