UPDATE: Man, 22, Charged with DWI After Crash That Killed Pedestrian, Police Say
Police say Sunday that more charges are pending after further investigation for driver Corey English, 22, of Fredericksburg.
UPDATE Sunday 10:10 a.m.: A 47-year-old woman was struck and killed while waiting for a bus on Old Keene Mill Road near Greeley Boulevard on Saturday, according to Fairfax County Police.
Senait Mamo, of Springfield was struck by a 2005 Acura at around 2:05 p.m., according to police. The car was traveling eastbound on Old Keene Mill when the driver lost control and struck her, police said. The vehicle continued up a small embankment, veered back onto the roadway, crossed the median and drove into the westbound lanes where it struck another vehicle, according to police.
The victim died at the scene, police said.

The driver and two passengers in the Acura were transported to Inova Fairfax Hospital where they were treated and released for their injuries, police said. The driver of the second vehicle, a 43-year-old Springfield woman, was also transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injures, according to police.
Police charged the Acura driver, Corey English, 22, of Fredericksburg, with driving while intoxicated. He was transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center. Detectives believe speed and alcohol are factors in the crash. Additional charges are pending further investigation, police said.
