Person Shot In Springfield Parking Lot: Police
Police are responding to a shooting that happened between vehicles in Springfield Tuesday.

SPRINGFIELD, VA — One person was shot in an encounter between vehicles in Springfield Tuesday, according to Fairfax County police.
Police responded to the Residence Inn in the 6400 block of Backlick Road around 7:06 a.m. Tuesday. Police believe a person in a lime green Dodge Challenger shot at people in another vehicle as it left a parking lot. One person was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. There were no other reported injuries.
Police preliminarily do not believe the incident was random. The Dodge Challenger has black wheels and temporary tags, according to police. Anyone with information can call 911.
